Michael Fayia Kallon was born in Koindu, Kailahun District, Eastern Province, of the Republic of Sierra Leone; and related to the Foryoh family; and also to the Kallons’ of Daru. He attended the Holy Trinity Secondary School in Kenema; and also attended the Kakata Teachers’ Training College in Liberia where he got his B-Certification in Secondary Education. He migrated to the United States, and obtained masters in Public Administration from Walden University, and presently a PhD Candidate in Criminal Justice (Public Safety); from Capella University. He has written a few books and has a website- www.makonabooks.com. He is presently a behavioral counselor in the Philadelphia School System in the United States.
